I’ve always loved writing. Putting my pen to paper and expressing my thoughts and feelings through writing is just so enjoyable and therapeutic for me.
One evening, I received a voice note from Daizy asking me to write a testimony for Jesuslovyou. This would be the first time I’d write on a public platform for other people to read. I was excited and grateful for the opportunity. I prayed for direction on what to write and then I began. When the testimony was finally released, I received messages from friends saying that they were really blessed by it. Soon after, Daizy informed me that some of the French readers of the blog loved it too! I was glad that it was touching people because that was its purpose and it was being fulfilled! Praise God! Later that day, my mum sent me a message and said how she was really touched by the testimony and told me to write more of them. I replied to the message saying, “yes mummy, I will do by God’s grace.” I said this with no knowledge of what God was going to do.
About two weeks later on a Thursday, I got a message from Daizy asking if she could call me later on that day. Now this isn’t unusual because Daizy is very organized and we always schedule our phone calls, so I thought nothing of it. An hour before my call with Daizy, I was in a meeting on a conference call with 3 other ladies including Daizy herself. Towards the end of the conference call whilst Daizy was saying a word of prayer, I heard in my spirit, “Daizy is going to ask you to write for the blog.”
I was shocked, I had questions, but I couldn’t stop to fully digest it as we were still praying. Once the conference call ended, I prayed about what I had just heard and had time to fully respond and say yes to God’s plan. My phone rang not long after and it was Daizy calling. We had a catch up (as sisters do) but as we were talking, I knew she didn’t call for us to have a sisterly catch up like we usually do.
“Ok so, let’s get into why I called, I want to ask you something.” She said. I smiled on the other side of the phone, as I knew exactly what was coming. “I want to ask if you would like to write for Jesuslovyou.” Even though I knew what she was going to say, I was still shocked!! I know that doesn’t make sense, but it’s true! I was shocked at the power of God and how quickly what He had just said was coming to pass – it happened all in the space of an hour! It was happening in reality! “Daizyyyyyyyyy! I knew you were going to ask that, I knew it!!” I screamed. I explained to her that I received a word while we were on our conference call as she was praying. I told her that I knew exactly what she was going to ask and that if she didn’t ask it, I would have known that she didn’t do what she was supposed to. But she did, she was obedient!
She said “Wow! I’ve been praying and crying out to God about another writer for the blog and he has chosen you! I wasn’t sure about how to tell you, but I knew I just had to do it!”
We were both so astounded by God’s power and couldn’t believe how well He planned everything. We were stunned, I mean stunned!
When we finished rambling in our excitement, Daizy said “sooooo, will you do it?” I realized that I forgot to answer her! “Yes!! of course I will!” I replied!
From this experience I was reminded that God is SO intentional! He has everything worked out concerning our lives and the things we experience – from the big important parts to the small intricate details! (There are so many factors to this testimony that I’ll share at a later date, then you’ll understand fully why I say this).
The word says
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
Always remember that God knows why. He is the one who has planned out your life, He knows the A-Z of it! Everything you are going through is for a reason, everything you love doing and you’re passionate about is for a reason and MOST IMPORTANTLY you were created for a reason! The ‘why’ will be revealed at its appointed time, just carry on being in the will of God and walking according to His perfect plan for your life and you’ll surely reach your expected end, by His grace! This experience also proves that God speaks! The word says
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27 KJV
It says, the sheep (Christians) HEAR His voice, that means that He MUST be speaking!
He spoke to Daizy and to myself and his word was the same. God is not a God of confusion.
What is God saying to you today? What is it that He wants you to hear from Him? Take time to fellowship with Him as the more you do so and stay in His presence, the more you’ll recognise His voice as He speaks to you.
Who would’ve known that my love for writing would grow into me now being a writer for such a precious blog like Jesuslovyou? I certainly didn’t, but that’s what I mean when I say everything you love doing and you’re passionate about is not by mistake! I am so honoured that this is what God has me doing and I look forward to sharing what God has placed on my heart for you to read!
So, allow me to introduce myself… my name is Gloria and I am now a writer for the amazing blog that is… Jesuslovyou!!! To God be ALL the glory forever and ever, Amen!
